FDS Mesh Size Checks

This tool doesn't replace engineering judgement. It calculates the characteristic fire diameter using the equation from the FDS User Guide. The equation is as shown below.

Fire heat release rate (kW)

Density (kg/m^3)

Specific heat capacity [Cp] (kJ/ kg K)

Ambient Temperature (K)

Gravity [g] (m/s^2)
